One day, a feline visitor decided to make himself at home after waiting outside a house. The cat now has an abundance of cozy items to snuggle up with.
Stefany and her mom are Canadian animal enthusiasts who have done their fair share of rescuing abandoned cats in their vicinity. With the help of Chatons Orphelins Montreal (a local rescue organization), they provide these stray felines with medical treatment, food, and a new furrever home. As time passed, numerous strays made their way to their yard for sustenance and a safe haven. Recently, a new feline showed up, waiting at a distance and scouting out the cat food before cautiously wandering over once Stefany had retreated indoors.
According to Celine Crom of Chatons Orphelins Montreal, the cat initially ate with great enthusiasm and kept returning for more meals. Eventually, he became more confident and at ease with his food sources. However, when the weather turned icy cold, he came back with a new strategy in mind.
Meet Oscar, the feline with a story to tell. His ears bore scars from braving the bitter cold of Canada’s winters. It was evident that he was not suited for outdoor life and longed for affection. Celine recounts how Oscar showed immense appreciation to those who rescued him. He would nuzzle his face against their cheeks and snuggle up beside them at any opportunity.
Stefany came to know that Oscar had a bump on his neck, which was later identified as a cyst, potentially caused by a previous injury. Following the surgery to get the lump removed, Oscar entered the recovery phase in a foster home under the care of Gabrielle, who volunteered for the job. To safeguard his stitches, Oscar put on either a neck muffler or a sweater.
During his recovery, he received a lot of comforting companions that he could snuggle with. He would often doze off near his favorite frog and tweety bird. Initially, he slept a lot, but as he started getting better, he became more curious about his surroundings and always craved attention.
Oscar’s ultimate source of happiness is receiving affectionate embraces from his beloved humans. He’ll lovingly push his head into their hands to indicate that he’s in the mood for a snuggle session.
“Gabrielle made sure to give him all the hugs and cuddles he desired.”
Oscar had spent several weeks in foster care when a wonderful family decided to adopt him and give him a permanent home. He was thrilled to be welcomed into such a loving household and finally have a place to call his own.
Presently, the adorable creature receives ceaseless affectionate embraces from his doting owners while having furry companions to spend time with on a daily basis.
