Meet Rome, a 5-year-old German shepherd who just loves to tag along with his family on their trips. He’s a big fan of outdoor activities like hiking and swimming, and sometimes he gets so excited that he runs ahead of his family on the trails. However, this habit led them to discover that some folks seem to be really scared of him!
Rome is a German shepherd who stands out from the crowd due to his towering height. Despite his size, some people find him intimidating, which can be a common misconception when it comes to this breed. However, Rome’s family knows that he is a gentle soul and not a threat to anyone. In fact, he is a beloved member of their family, and they refer to him as their “baby.” According to his mother, Mercedes Provost, Rome is loving and enjoys cuddles and being affectionate. He also gets along well with other dogs and is particularly fond of playing with his 9-month-old human sibling.
During a hiking trip, Provost noticed that people were hesitant around Rome and would ask if he was friendly before backing away. This made her anxious and she worried about him startling others on the trail before the rest of their family arrived. However, Provost found an unexpected solution to this problem – a bow tie. While browsing at Target, she picked up a bow tie and thought it would look good on Rome. To her surprise, many people agreed once they saw Rome wearing it. The bow tie became the first thing people noticed about Rome, rather than his size, and helped them appreciate his silly and lovable nature.
Provost mentioned that almost everyone praises how adorable Rome looks. Nowadays, he dons his bow tie or satchel when he goes out. His outfits are cheerful and friendly, which helps others perceive him as the affectionate giant his loved ones have always known him to be.
Now, he has the freedom to embark on countless adventures with his loved ones and seek out affection and attention from anyone he meets. This gentle giant’s heart desires nothing more than love and companionship.
